A séance sounded like a creepy but harmless idea for a girls’ night. None of the five women went in expecting much, and Nikki certainly didn’t expect anything there to know something deeply personal about her.
Then a voice from the hallway called her by a childhood nickname she hadn’t used in years.
After they left, the strange activity didn’t stay behind. Knocking began in their homes, whispers came from empty rooms, and one by one, all five women experienced something they couldn’t easily explain.
The woman who led the séance eventually asked them to come back—not to make contact again, but to end whatever had started.
What answered them the second time was even more unsettling. Because when they finally asked who was there, it didn’t give them a name.
