Newly stationed in San Diego, a young sailor pulled into a cemetery to figure out where he was. He was unfamiliar with the area, distracted by his phone, and thinking about directions when a boy caught his attention. Regular clothes. Dark hair. A face turned directly toward him as he moved past the graves. Then came a powerful chemical smell that made it difficult to stay where he was.
