A night of hanging out with friends inside an old Pawtucket house took a strange turn when footsteps began moving up and down the grand staircase.
Then a heavy metal gate suddenly slammed into the wall with enough force to crack the wood and knock pictures from a shelf. Cabinet doors began opening, and footsteps continued through the hallway long after everyone had stopped joking about the house being haunted.
Around four in the morning, one of them saw a tall man in work clothes carrying a hammer walk down the hall and disappear into another room.
Later, they found an old photograph. The man in it looked exactly like the person he had just seen.
