A college geology trip to Wyoming included an overnight stay at a hotel rumored to be haunted. Naturally, a group of students couldn’t resist exploring—and playing a little prank on their friends. But when something unexpectedly turned a doorknob with enough force to overpower the person holding it, the joke took a frightening turn.
The strange experiences didn’t stop there. One student woke up in an inexplicable situation in the middle of the night, and another incident at the hotel left him running from an apparently empty restroom.
Later, while housesitting for friends, he encountered more unexplained activity. A frightened dog, kitchen cabinets opening on their own, and a television that suddenly switched off suggested he might not be alone. Was he simply encountering ordinary events at unfortunate moments, or did something seem unusually eager to get his attention?
