An eleven-year-old boy claims he encountered a terrifying figure while helping his family prepare a new home. Soon, his behavior begins to change. There are violent episodes, disturbing voices, and reports of objects moving on their own. His family seeks medical help, turns to the Catholic Church, and eventually brings in paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren.
But not everyone believes the boy is possessed. His own father has doubts, his brothers remember events differently, and the Church refuses to authorize a formal exorcism without further evaluation.
As the family grows increasingly desperate, the boy’s sister’s boyfriend makes a decision that will change everything. He challenges whatever might be tormenting the child to leave him alone and take him instead.
