Closing the restaurant at two in the morning was usually routine. By the time she shut everything down, she knew exactly who was still inside: herself and one other employee.
That night, however, there were already signs that something felt off. A restroom light seemed to turn itself on and off, and her coworker casually admitted that strange things happened there all the time.
Then she walked to the back of the darkened restaurant to shut off the lights and set the alarm. When she turned around, a young woman was standing only a few feet away.
She knew no one else could have been inside. She also knew, without quite understanding how, that the woman standing in front of her wasn’t alive.
What happened two weeks later made sure she never went back.
