For a while, there seemed to be a perfectly reasonable explanation for the strange things happening around the house.
He had a history of sleepwalking. So when doors were left open, things were knocked over, or something seemed to have moved during the night, both he and his mother assumed he was responsible.
Then the activity began changing.
Footsteps seemed to move through the house when no one should have been there. Something started making itself known in ways that were much harder to blame on sleepwalking. Eventually, one night pushed him far enough that he decided to move out.
But leaving the house didn’t end the mystery. Because once he was gone, the activity kept happening.
