On November 13, 1974, the house at 112 Ocean Avenue in Amityville became the sight of one of the worst domestic murders in American history. 23-year-old Ronald DeFeo went on a rampage and murdered his entire family, later claiming that we was driven to murder by voices he heard in the house. Shortly after, the George and Kathy Lutz, along with Kathy’s three children moved into that very home, thinking it would be their “dream house”. What happened over the 28 days that the Lutz family called this house a “home” became the subject of the infamous book “The Amityville Horror” by Jay Anson.

In this book, the family made claims of widespread supernatural happenings that pushed them to the brink of insanity. George and Kathy Lutz have never gone back on a single claims of the haunting and paranormal events. Daniel Lutz was a ten years old child at the time of the infamous events. For the first time in 35 years, Daniel has now gone on record about his experiences with filmmaker Eric Walters in his new film “My Amityville Horror”.

Eric Walter is a writer, director and documentarian and creator of www.amityvillefiles.com, one of the definitive online sources on the subject. In our video Inside Amityville, Eric Walter discuss his feelings and thoughts about Daniel Lutz stories and revelations made during the filming of My Amityville Horror, as well as infamous facts and pieces of evidence surrounding the case.
