In a 1950 home in Shawnee, Kansas, strange things began in the bathroom.
One night, while alone, she heard her son’s toy piano playing by itself. When she told whatever was there it could play — as long as it didn’t scare her children — the toy abruptly said “goodbye” and shut off.
Later, she felt something brush against her leg when no one was nearby. Another time, she felt a touch on her back while sitting beside her daughter’s bathtub — and the dog reacted at the exact same moment.
And after one of her dogs passed away, she felt the bed depress at her feet as if something had come to lie down.
She can explain shadows. She can’t explain the touches.
