About 18 years ago, this listener’s family moved into a house in the small town of Mokane, Missouri. At first nothing seemed unusual, but before long the family began noticing strange things happening throughout the home.
It started with odd noises from the basement and small objects moving when no one was around. Over time the activity became harder to ignore—radios turning on and adjusting themselves, faucets running by themselves, and drawers that never seemed to stay closed.
Eventually the family reached a point where the strange events almost became normal. That is, until one experience left a younger sister so frightened that she refused to even move.
Even years later, the family still talks about that house… and the things that seemed to live there with them.
